January 8, 2025The Tirana Energy Forum 2024 offers a platform for shaping the future of Albania’s energy landscape. Set for November 20 at the Palace of Congresses, this forum gathers industry leaders and professionals to explore critical themes. The fourth panel will focus on the human resources needed for the energy transition and the role of education in this process.
The fourth panel, “Building human capacity for Albania’s Energy Transition and the role of the eduation,” will examine how education and training can support Albania’s energy goals. The panel includes:
- Mr. Altin Sholla, CEO of Tirana Business University, TBU

Dr. Altin Sholla is an experienced professional with 17 years of experience who has a strong background in banking, finance, and sales. Dr. Altin Sholla, who is currently the Executive Director of Tirana Business University College, has played a pivotal role in shaping the institution’s success.
With a significant portion of his career devoted to SME and corporate clients, Dr. Altin Sholla has a thorough understanding of the complexities of these industries. He has held senior management positions in Treasury, Lending, Business Development, and Risk Management, demonstrating a versatile skill set spanning key areas of financial management.
In addition to his cooperate roles, Dr. Altin Sholla has been actively involved in academia for 14 years, in the Economic Faculty, University of Tirana. His dedication to education is a reflection of their enthusiasm for sharing knowledge as well as his capacity to close the knowledge gap between academic concepts and practical business applications.
Dr. Altin Sholla has consistently implemented strategies to improve operational efficiency and streamline workflows. His leadership style focuses on collaboration and innovation, resulting in organizational success in dynamic and competitive environments. In his current position, Dr. Altin Sholla continues to influence the direction of higher education and support the advancement of both individuals and organizations.
- Mr. Gjergji Gjinko, University Fan Noli / President of the Board Association “Friends of Korça”

Gjergji Gjinko holds an honors degree in Life Sciences from the University of Tirana. His professional journey began as a university researcher and lecturer in Biology and Genetics at Korça University.
In the early 1990s, Gjinko transitioned to local politics, serving as Secretary of the Regional Pluralist Council and subsequently as Mayor of Korça municipality (1992-96), elected in the first local elections in Albania.
With over 18 years of engagement in the civil society sector, he has collaborated with several non-profit organizations, managing projects focused on education, decentralization and local governance, sustainable development, advocacy for renewable energy, environment protection and the development of the green economy in Albania.
Since 2016, he has led the “Friends of Korça” Association, a group of dedicated friends and experts working towards solutions in environmental protection, climate change, ecotourism, and promoting solar energy as a solution to reduce the use of firewood and mitigate deforestation in Korca region and in national level.

- Mr. Erald Pashaj CEO, EPPC Albania & Kosovo

Erald Pashaj is the CEO of EPPC Albania & Kosovo, a leading HR consulting firm he founded in 2009, offering HR, talent acquisition, staff leasing, payroll, and training services across Albania and Kosovo. With over 20 years in financial management and HR, Erald previously served as CFO & HR Manager at DHL Albania. He is a seasoned international trainer in areas like leadership, talent and change management, having trained organizations such as Raiffeisen Bank, Coca-Cola, Telekom Albania, and Porsche Albania. Erald graduated from Tirana University’s Economic Faculty and holds certifications in leadership, HR, and Extended DISC.
- Mr. Fation Dragoshi, DUAL Vocational Education and Training in Albania at Swisscontact

Fation Dragoshi is the Manager (2017 onwards) of Skills for Jobs in Albania, a project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), implemented by Swisscontact. Fation has over 20 years of working experience in Albania and internationally, mainly in the fields of youth empowerment, cultural mediation, skills development, employment promotion and policies. Prioir to Swisscontact, Fation worked with UNDP, ILO, IOM, UNICEF and the Ministry of Culture in Albania.
